A bit of island romance

A beautiful island motif restaurant surrounded by koi ponds and the beautiful gardens/grounds of the Grand Hyatt in south Kauai. Tables are generously spaced in island huts, relatively quiet and appropriately dimly lit. We observe that the better restaurants have veteran servers, and we've had the same servers for years here at the Tidepols. This is a great place for Valentine's Day or anniversary celebrations. The menu has returned to excellence, and service has always been a plus. Make reservations in advance... they do a nice job of seating the number of tables they can serve with integrity. It is pricey as one would expect for an ocean front hotel (no ocean view from the restaurant), but the service, quieter ambiance work for those seeking a leisurely, special dining experience.
