Banana Patch Studio

Watch gifted artists at work at Banana Patch Studio in Old Hanapepe Town. The studio's ceramic tiles and pottery are all hand-painted on the premises. Almost every home on Kaua‘i displays their famous “Mahalo For Removing Your Shoes” tile. Banana Patch Studio was founded in 1991 by Kaua‘i artist Joanna Carolan, whose work is inspired by the natural beauty of Kaua‘i. In addition to Joanna, many more artists are represented, including Joanna's mother, Nancy Forbes, watercolor artist, Jana Viles, sculptor, and Anna Skaradzinska, acrylic painter. The studio also has a second location at Kong Lung Center in Kilauea.
