Hawaiian Vacation for Two!

While You Are on the Big Island...

Many of us take a vacation and before we even board that first flight, we begin to imagine what our vacation might include. As our mind begins to sort through
images of Hawai‘i, the possibilities begin to soar. No matter how many days there are for the vacation, it always seems to pass far too quickly. With that in mind, let's create an adventure on the land, in the air and with the water—elements that are part of the very foundation of our lives.

First the water! We thirst for adventure, so automatically you look to the beaches. Begin your vacation by visiting the beautiful golden sand beach at Anaeho‘omalu Bay. The bay is home to endangered green sea turtles, colorful tropical fish, and incredible coral reef gardens. Relax under swaying palms, explore ancient Hawaiian fish Ponds, or kayak, windsurf or bike (yes, bike!) across the sheltered waters of the bay.

If you would like to experience the underwater world without getting wet, join a group on a glass bottom boat tour of the bay, where you can learn about the reef while visiting the famous “Turtle Cleaning Station.” Depending on the time of year, you may choose to step aboard a world class catamaran to go whale watching in the waters fronting the National Marine Humpback Whale Sanctuary. Go on a snorkel trip where you can explore remote black sand beaches, or enjoy a personalized tour of the untouched tropical reef.

GREEN FLASH!

There is no better way to complete your adventuresome day than to take a “Sunset Sail.” Enjoy panoramic coastline views, as you sail along to the only point where you can see five volcanoes at once. While you are here, consider renewing your wedding vows—at the beach or on a sail—this ceremony will be a highlight in the memories of your time on the Big Island. You may even see the legendary green flash—which is a perfect way to end a perfect day in Hawai‘i.
